Traveling is allowed during the COVID-19 pandemic, but extra precautions to stay safe are advised. If you are traveling, especially to another country, consider COVID testing for travel.

COVID Testing for Travel

Some airlines and countries require testing for travel. If you need to get tested for COVID-19 prior to travel, understand if you need the rapid molecular (RT-PCR) or rapid antigen test.

The RT-PCR rapid test is administered by Rapid Testing LLC and analyzed at our clinics, so you’ll have same-day results. Your results will be emailed and texted to you. If you are getting tested for travel at Advanced Urgent Care, please:

  • Verify with your destination of travel which test(s) are accepted for your travel itinerary. Every country and state has different requirements. We apologize, but Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine is not responsible if the incorrect test is ordered.
  • When getting your test, notify the staff member if there are any special requirements that need to be included in the wording of the test results letter.
  • Verify with the airline and destination of travel the timeframe your test will need to fall within before the date of your flight or the arrival date to your destination. An example is to get tested 72 hours prior to your flight.
  • Unfortunately, we are not approved to test any patients traveling to Hawaii. Please check with Hawaii for locations that offer their approved testing.
