Our urgent care and occupational medicine medical providers have experience treating patients of all ages and have backgrounds ranging from urgent care and family practice to cardiology, internal medicine, and orthopedics.

Dr. Tony Euser, DO, Owner, Physician

Owner and Physician Dr. Euser is a Colorado native and has spent most of his life near Brighton. He graduated from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Euser specializes in family practice, occupational medicine (Level II provider), and is FAA certified. He is also our Medical Review Officer (MRO).

Eager to make a difference in Brighton’s community, he opened his primary care practice, Platte River Medical Clinic, in January 2006. Dr. Euser realized the patients at his primary care practice didn’t have anywhere to get affordable treatment after hours in the Brighton area, so he opened Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine in 2012.

In his free time, Dr. Euser enjoys flying his plane, cycling, and skiing.

Alexis Wirth, PA-C

Physician Associate Alexis Wirth has always been very passionate about acute care and helping patients during their time of need. She appreciates listening to each patient’s individual story and finding the right treatment plan for them. She loves the urgent care setting due to the dynamic environment and the variety of cases that walk in the door. Alexis especially enjoys procedures and the challenge of difficult cases!

Alexis completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she majored in neurobiology and received a minor in women’s studies. Alexis worked as an EMT on an ambulance before working as a medical technician for a mobile urgent care. The house calls she went on helped to grow her understanding of healthcare barriers and diverse populations. Alexis graduated from the Physician Associate program at Midwestern University-Glendale.

During her free time, Alexis enjoys weightlifting and fitness. She loves anything in the mountains, especially snowboarding and camping. She also likes to read and hang out with her 2 pitties.

Alyssa Stockman, PA-C

urgent care physician associatePhysician Associate Alyssa Stockman chose to work in the urgent care setting because she enjoys the acute nature and variety of patient cases that come to the clinic each day. She enjoys building relationships with her patients and is passionate about making healthcare more accessible to our community.

Alyssa attended the University of Kansas for her undergraduate studies where she acquired her Bachelor’s degree in human
biology. Then, she completed her Master’s degree at Rocky Vista University in Parker, CO.

In her free time, Alyssa enjoys traveling and participating in all of the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer.

Avery Grossman, FNP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner Avery Grossman dedicated a significant part of her early career to mobile healthcare in the Northeast, serving communities in Boston and its surrounding neighborhoods directly from a mobile health van. Her role involved providing on­site care and ensuring seamless connections to additional services when needed. In 2021, Avery moved to Vermont, joining a visiting nurse association where she became an advocate for pregnant teenage mothers.

Avery’s experience includes working with underserved populations, individuals grappling with substance use disorder, and patients in palliative/hospice care. She prioritizes a holistic approach to patient care, maintaining that mental health is equally important to physical health.  

Avery received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing before earning her MSN from Georgetown University.

When she’s not at work, you’ll often find Avery on the ski slopes, hiking trails, or immersed in a good book.

Chelsea Schroedl, FNP-C

Chelsea nurseFamily Nurse Practitioner Chelsea Schroedl earned her Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner degree in May 2022, but she has been a nurse for six years. Prior to working in the urgent care setting, Chelsea worked as a nurse and charge nurse at various acute rehabilitation hospitals in the Denver area. She started her career in medicine as a laboratory technician at a University of California biomedical research lab.

Chelsea earned her master’s degree from Regis University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics from the University of California Irvine.

Chelsea has been married since 2018. She has no children or pets, but she has plenty of plants. She enjoys traveling, baking, propagating plants, stand-up paddle boarding, and skiing.

Claudia Zajac, PA-C

Physician Associate Claudia Zajac was inspired to go into health care by her sister, who is also a physician associate. Claudia began working as a medical assistant in dermatology and she really loved the rewarding feeling of making people feel better than when they came in.

Claudia completed her master’s degree in Physician Associate at Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ. She speaks Polish fluently.

Claudia enjoys cooking, especially for her friends and family. She has been practicing ashtanga yoga for over a decade. When she is not working, she enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and skiing as well as hanging out with her dog, Meeko.

Cory Kreutzer, FNP-C

FNP Cory KreutzerFamily Nurse Practitioner Cory Kreutzer has been a nurse for 23 years and has experience working in critical care and the ICU. She enjoys working in the urgent care setting because of the variety of patients and the challenge it can present.

Cory recently graduated from Post University with a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in family nurse practitioner. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Colorado.

Cory is passionate about giving back to the community by providing care in clinical settings and also through teaching wilderness medicine in the United States and Canada. Cory is a native Coloradan and loves anything outdoors: hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and scuba diving. She started teaching advanced wilderness life support (AWLS) in 2008 while living in New Zealand and she currently runs her own company teaching AWLS, basic wilderness life support (BWLS), and wilderness first responder (WFR) to civilians and military/government sectors.

Emily Myers, PA-C

urgent care provider providerPhysician Associate Emily Myers has worked in acute care in the emergency department and urgent care settings for 5 years. She is passionate about helping people in their time of need. Emily completed PA school at Gannon University.

Emily lives with her husband named Tim, a son named Archie, and their dog named River. She likes to do yoga and hike.

Iris Kang, NP-C

Nurse Practitioner Iris Kang has 26 years of nursing experience with most of that time spent in the emergency department. She is passionate about helping her patients improve their overall health outcome as well as their understanding and access to healthcare in general. She completed her Master’s degree in Family Practice Nursing at Regis University in Denver.

Iris enjoys traveling, horseback riding, Vespa scooters, hiking, camping, and she is a competitive Irish step dancer. She was active duty Air Force for 10 years and was stationed in Northern and Southern California and overseas in Germany. She loves to read, watch movies, try new restaurants, and visit new places.

Kailynn Perkins, NP-C

nurseNurse Practitioner Kailynn Perkins worked in the emergency department for many years, including pediatric emergency medicine, before joining the team at Advanced Urgent Care. She attended the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA, for her nurse practitioner studies.

Kailynn likes to go hiking and camping with her dog in the warmer months and she likes to spend time snowboarding in the winter. Kailynn loves to bake and read.

Kate Tumulty, PA-C

Urgent care has always been Physician Associate Kate Tumulty’s specialty of choice. Coming out of PA school, she worked in occupational medicine for a little over a year. Kate loved treating injuries, but missed the general aspects of medicine. She loves the procedural aspect of urgent care and the fact that providers see a wide range of patients and medical issues.

Kate completed her bachelor’s degree at Clemson University in South Carolina. From there she worked for a year in patient care in Charleston, SC, at the Medical University of South Carolina before going to PA school at South College in Knoxville, TN.

Kate loves to travel, snowboard, hike, and play in summer sports leagues in Denver.

Katie Hoffman, PA-C

Physician Associate Katie Hoffman specializes in family medicine and urgent care. She is very passionate about having patients leave feeling better than when they came in. She always strives to exceed their expectations, and she loves going above and beyond to help everyone under her care. She says it’s very rewarding to help patients in an acute setting.

Katie graduated from Colorado State University in 2016 with a bachelor of science in nutrition. She then completed clinical training to become a registered dietitian (RD). After several years working as an RD in the ICU, she realized she wanted to do more for patients. So, she went back to school to become a physician associate. She attended PA school at Rocky Mountain University in Utah starting in 2021. She  graduated in August 2023.

Katie is an avid reader; she tries to read at least one new book every week. She has two dogs, and when she’s not working they like to go hiking, biking, swimming, and paddle boarding. Katie was born and raised in Colorado and she loves exploring new bars and restaurants throughout the Denver area.

Katrina Bailey, MS, PA-C

urgent care providerPhysician Associate Katrina Bailey started her career at an OB/GYN practice, then transitioned to primary care, and in 2013, urology became her specialty. After a decade specializing in urology, she decided to expand her skills to include urgent care.

Katrina received her Master of Science degree and Physician Associate training from the University of Colorado. She has been a physician associate since 2004.

A native of Colorado, Katrina enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. They like to participate in all the activities that make Colorado a great place to live: skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and more. In addition, she enjoys playing soccer and performing aerial dance. When out on long walks, Katrina is often looking up, hoping to catch a glimpse of various birds of prey.

Kimberly McKinley, FNP-C

FNPFamily Nurse Practitioner Kimberly McKinley graduated with her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona. She received her Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degrees from Regis University.

Kimberly is a proud mother of two, has a loving husband, and an adorable dog. She moved to Colorado because she loves the outdoors. She loves hiking, camping, and skiing.

Kyrie Lopez, PA-C

Physician Associate Kyrie landed in urgent care because of the dynamic and fast-paced environment that it offers. Every day is different and presents its own unique challenges, and she enjoys practicing hands-on medicine.

Kyrie completed the Physician Associate program at Red Rocks Community College after earning a BS in Biology from Luther College. Prior to joining the Advanced Urgent Care team, she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

Kyrie and her husband and have two dogs — a 9-year-old Lab mix and a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix. They love to travel, hike, backpack, camp, ski, climb, and mountain bike together.

Fun fact about Kyrie — she has almost 50 houseplants!

Laura McDonough, PA-C

Physician Associate Laura McDonough spent many years as a physician associate moving around the country with the opportunity to define what she likes best about the profession and finding ways to help patients. She has found that she genuinely likes people and learning how to make them happier and healthier. She discovered a particular love for orthopedics in her travels.

Laura began her career in medicine as a certified nursing assistant. She also worked as a ward clerk in post-operative recovery and on cardiac floors in hospitals. She was also an EKG tech. After graduating from Rosemont College with Bachelor’s Degrees in psychology and mathematics, a minor in bio-chemistry, and a concentration in education, Laura was unsure if she wanted to go to medical school or get a postgraduate degree in neurobiological psychology.

Luckily, during a career counseling session, Laura learned the term “physician associate,” and it changed the rest of her life. She used her educational credits and patient contact hours to pursue her dream of becoming a PA by attending DeSales University. She earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Associate Studies and started her journey of helping those in need.

Laura has a young family that takes up most of her “free time,” but that is just her family’s season of life. Laura and her family love the outdoors, animals, and exploring the different natural wonders around them. They love long hikes, biking, and anything to do with the water. They are committed as a family to do volunteer work and donating to different programs in their communities. They travel frequently with all modes of transport, and love finding little nooks that are off of the well-worn path.

nurseFamily Nurse Practitioner Leslie McKenna enjoys working with all ages and all members of the family, from newborns through grandparents. She finds purpose in helping people through illness and injury by supporting their well-being through a holistic approach.

Leslie graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where she is from.

Leslie is a kayaker, which is what initially brought her to Colorado. She also enjoys playing guitar, singing, gardening, cooking, snowboarding, and backpacking. Leslie enjoys being outdoors with her husband, Jon; two boys, Colston, age 17, and Elijah, age 13; and her mini-Aussie red merle dog, Savannah. Cece, their cat, keeps them cozy at home and tries to keep Savannah in line.

Mackenzie Kerr, FNP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner Mackenzie Kerr chose to work in the urgent care setting because she loves thinking quickly on her feet and being exposed to a wide variety of medical issues on any given day. Although the urgent care setting is a fast-paced environment, she enjoys the opportunity to educate patients and their families about their health.

As an urgent care provider, Mackenzie feels very honored to have the privilege of taking care of patients and their families during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Her passion for helping others is the driving force behind the care she provides to all of her patients.

Mackenzie is originally from New Mexico, but she moved to Colorado 10 years ago to obtain her nursing degree. She worked as a registered nurse for 7 years in the oncology and primary care settings. Mackenzie has never doubted her career goals and has always wanted to become a nurse practitioner. During her time as a nurse, her interest in pursuing a career as a nurse practitioner blossomed, so she decided to return to school. She obtained her master’s degree in nursing (MSN) from the University of Arizona. In addition, she also has a FNP post-graduate degree from the DePaul University.

Mackenzie’s favorite hobby is spending time outside with her dogs. Mackenzie and her husband have spent the last few years fostering dogs from the local animal shelters. When she’s not with her dogs, you can catch her baking in the kitchen, spending time with friends and family, running, and listening to the latest Taylor Swift album.

Madeleine Gomez, FNP-C

FNPFamily Nurse Practitioner Madeleine Gomez worked as a labor and delivery nurse for the last 8 years, caring primarily for high-risk pregnancies. In 2020 she went back to school to pursue her family nurse practitioner degree, as she wanted to expand her scope of practice and provide comprehensive care for all patients across the lifespan.

Madeleine attended Denison University for her bachelor’s degree. She attended the University of Colorado for her BSN and MSN degrees.

Madeleine lives in Boulder with her husband, son, and their dog, a Great Pyrenees.

Miranda Downs, FNP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner Miranda Downs has always had a passion for acute care. When she graduated NP school there was no question in her mind that she belonged in urgent care! She likes that each patient presents with a unique story, she enjoys getting to know them, and she likes to help make what is probably one of their worst days a little better.

She started her career in medicine as a medical assistant at a small nephrology office. From there, she was a patient care tech at a hospital while attending nursing school. Miranda worked as a charge nurse in the ER for several years and loved training new nurses. She also spent time working in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).

Miranda completed her Master’s Degree in Nursing at SUNY Polytechnic in Utica, New York. She also has a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Miranda was born in Sweden and when she had the opportunity to return for her master’s degree to study preventive medicine from their perspective, she jumped on it!

Miranda’s favorite hobby is watching the Green Bay Packers play! Outside of that, she loves paddle boarding, camping, hiking, and going skiing. Her dog, Jordi, is a great paddle boarder as well!

Monica Brugnoni, FNP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner Monica Brugnoni started her career at Swedish Medical Center as a Medical/Surgical RN, before spending four years in the neurological critical care unit. Prior to becoming a RN, she was a nursing assistant at a Beaumont Hospital in Michigan.

Monica received her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree at Frontier Nursing University, her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree at University of Detroit Mercy, and a Bachelor’s of Arts – Biology degree at Albion College.

Monica moved to Colorado from Michigan and loves to ski, cook, travel, and enjoy participating in outdoor activities.

Qing Xu, NP-C

Nurse Practitioner Qing Xu has over 30 years of experience in the medical field. She began her medical career in China working in hospitals and later immigrated to the U.S. for medical research projects. She missed working with patients, so she started working as an MA, histologist, and nurse. Qing has been a nurse practitioner since 2018.

Qing earned her first college degree in China. She graduated from an adult-geriatric nurse practitioner program at Florida International University. She then earned her post-master FNP certificate at the University of Cincinnati.

Qing loves animals and enjoys traveling. She enjoys hiking in the mountains. She and her husband have three lovely dogs.

Summer Ikenouye, FNP-C

nurse practitioner Family Nurse Practitioner Summer Ikenouye’s background spans 19 years as a registered nurse. Summer has worked in various healthcare settings, including: trauma units, med/surgical units, interventional radiology, and emergency departments. Her experience extends to leadership roles as a charge nurse and a preceptor for students and staff.

Summer’s approach to patient care is characterized by compassion and empathy, fostering long-standing relationships that contribute to overall health and well-being. Her excitement about serving the community is evident, particularly in an urgent care setting where she looks forward to partnering with people to improve their health.

Her educational journey includes a Master of Science in nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Regis College, a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Western Governor’s University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Medical from Trinity International University. Additionally, she holds an Associate in nursing degree from William Rainey Harper College.

Beyond her professional achievements, Summer’s personal interests highlight her love for the outdoors, particularly enjoying Colorado’s majestic scenery. Her hobbies reflect a commitment to finding serenity in nature and include photography, hiking, and reading. Family is a priority for her, and amidst a bustling household with four children and a multitude of pets, she finds joy in spending time with loved ones.

Summer is a dedicated and well-rounded healthcare professional with a wealth of experience, a strong educational background, and a genuine passion for her profession and personal interests.

Stacy Johnson, PA-C

Physician Associate Stacy Johnson enjoys working in the urgent care setting because she likes seeing a variety of patients.

Stacy completed the Red Rocks Physician Associate program and she also has a Master of Medical Science from St. Francis University.

Stacy is married with three sons. She enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with family. Stacy is a Colorado native.

Therease Foley, FNP-C

nurse Family Nurse Practitioner Therease Foley focuses on acute care. She has experience in the emergency room, ICU, and urgent care in Colorado, Washington, and Oregon. She is passionate about patient education by helping patients know how to take care of minor illnesses and how to identify more serious illness. Therease obtained her master’s degree from Regis University.

Therease loves to feed people, so she cooks and bakes for her family and friends regularly. She also enjoys the outdoors, including hiking in all weather conditions and seasons, biking, and gardening. She has four children and seven grandchildren, so family gatherings are fun and crazy! She also has an English Cream Golder Retriever.

Wayne Driver, FNP-C, AANP

Family Nurse Practitioner Wayne Driver worked in the emergency department prior to joining Advanced Urgent Care. He made the switch to improve his quality of life while still being able to help his community. Wayne earned his master’s of nursing degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Wayne has a wonderful fiancée, a dog, and a cat.
