With public schools returning to in-person learning, this also means the return of school sports! If your athlete needs a sports physical to get back in the game, Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine has you covered with a $35 walk-in sports physical.

Walk-in Sports Physicals Available 7 Days a Week

With school sports coming back, your athlete may be required to have a physical exam and a signed release form from a provider. If there is a problem, the provider might approve the activity under certain conditions. If there is an old injury that might affect your child’s performance, the medical provider will prescribe the best way to avoid furthering the injury. The goal is to ensure, as completely and accurately as possible, that any athlete with specific medical conditions can compete safely.

What Does a Sports Physical Include?

When your child comes in for a walk-in sports physical the medical provider will check the following during the participation physical exam:

  • The athlete’s height, weight, and blood pressure
  • Look at the eyes, ears, and throat
  • Listen to the heart and lungs for healthy patterns
  • Feel the abdomen for any abnormalities.
  • The child’s fitness level will be assessed to detect conditions that predispose your child to new injuries.

Physical activity is important for everyone and we will assess your child’s health so they can enjoy their sport while reducing the chance of injury.
