Tony Euser, D.O.
Dr. Euser is a Colorado native and has spent most of his life near Brighton. Eager to make a difference in Brighton’s community, he opened Platte River Medical Clinic in January 2006. He graduated from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Euser specializes in family practice, occupational medicine (Level II provider), and is FAA certified.
In his free time, Dr. Euser enjoys flying his plane, cycling, and skiing.
Julie Parsons, M.D.
Occupational Medicine Medical Director
Dr. Parsons has practiced occupational medicine for 18 years. She spent the first 10 years of her career as an ER doctor at a Level I trauma center. Dr. Parsons completed her residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She enjoys taking care of her patients and loves a good diagnostic puzzle.
In her free time, she practices Tai Chi, lifts weights, and spends time with her family which includes a 10-year-old Schnoodle (Schnauzer / Poodle) named Jack.
Katie Krueger, PA-C
Katie Krueger began her career in medicine as a medical assistant and limited scope x-ray tech. She worked in the field of orthopedics while completing her undergraduate studies to prepare for PA school. After graduating with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Texas Science Center in 2010, she worked in family medicine for six years. Katie joined Advanced Urgent Care in 2016. She enjoys providing acute care to patients in the urgent care setting and has a special interest in orthopedics.
She is certified by the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants.
Katie and her husband have two daughters and she feels that some of her best training has come from raising her children! Their family spends as much time as possible enjoying the great outdoors of Colorado in their Jeep. They are avid Denver Broncos fans!
Shasta Van Sickle, PA-C
Shasta Van Sickle is a certified physician assistant who earned her master’s degree in Science at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She worked in orthopedic surgery for pediatrics and adults for six years before switching to the urgent care setting. Shasta is knowledgeable and experienced in worker’s compensation injuries, simple and complex laceration repair, spine abnormalities, injuries, and deformities, as well as orthopedic fractures and sports injuries. She can treat nonoperative orthopedic injuries and provide excellent pain management care.
Shasta is very compassionate in her patient care. She truly believes in communication, listening to her patients, and treating each patient as if they were her own family. Prior to PA school, she worked in a small, rural health clinic and has always loved medicine and making people better.
Shasta’s husband recruited her to Colorado 10 years ago, which was not a hard. She is originally from Northwest Arkansas. Shasta grew up skiing in Colorado and still enjoys doing so in the winter. Shasta and her husband have two children. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, and participating in several athletic activities including: basketball, running, biking and hiking.
Karina Allen, PA-C
Karina Allen began her career in internal medicine, which she still continues part-time. She treats chronic medical conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. She also worked as a hospitalist for medical and ICU patients with complex wounds, fractures, and brain/spinal cord injuries. Now in the urgent care setting, Karina enjoys having the ability to immediately impact a patient, as well as see a wide variety of illnesses and injuries. She likes the challenge of not knowing who might walk in the door with what problem on any given day.
Karina attended PA school at Des Moines University in Iowa and traveled across the country to various facilities for 4-week long rotations. The highlight of her schooling was a rotation in neuro-oncology at one of the nation’s top cancer centers – MD Anderson in Houston, TX.
Prior to becoming a PA, Karina was a personal trainer and she remains passionate about fitness and exercise. One of her favorite forms of physical activity is doing the Manitou Incline hiking trail. Karina has two dogs and a horse named Dixie.
Heather Wohlers, PA-C
Heather Wohlers strives to build trusting relationships with patients, attentively listen to their needs, and serve as an advisor to help create overall healthier lifestyles. She has a particular passion for women’s health.
Heather completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University. She spent two months volunteering at a hospital in Tanzania, Africa, and then went on to complete the physician assistant program at South University in Tampa, Florida.
She was born and raised in beautiful Colorado and loves anything that involves the mountains, including hiking, biking, and skiing.
Emily Kuper, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner
Emily Kuper received her BSN at Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College in St. Louis and her FNP and MSN at Maryville University in St. Louis. Before joining the Advanced Urgent Care team, Emily worked in high-risk cardiology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, for four years. She also spent two years in cardiothoracic/vascular surgery circulator at Saint Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO, and two years in step-down ICU/telemetry at North Suburban Hospital in Thornton, CO. Emily’s experience and interest in cardiology is a huge asset to the practice.
In her free time, Emily enjoys hiking, kayaking, and camping with her husband, Jordan. The two have a puppy named Bear. Emily is also an avid jogger.
Neelia Miller, FNP-BC
Family Nurse Practitioner
Neelia Miller is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 9 years of experience in urgent care, pediatrics, college health, occupational medicine and emergency medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry from CSU Pueblo, a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Miami, FL, and a Master of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner, from CU Anschutz.
Neelia loves helping people feel better and treats each patient as if they were family. She always tries to encourage and reassure during times of crisis.
In her free time, Neelia likes to do triathlons (she is a 2x Ironman) and walking her 2 little dogs. She also loves to travel, especially internationally, and is fluent in German.
Tracy Scott, FNP-BC
Family Nurse Practitioner
Tracy Scott is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine. She has experience in urgent, emergency and family care, and served in the US Army as an enlisted active duty member for 7 years.
Tracy has been a Registered Nurse since 1994 and a Nurse Practitioner since 2008. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Clemson University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of St. Francis. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Tracy is also board certified in Nursing Informatics and enjoys technology. She currently teaches graduate nursing courses online.
In her free time, Tracy enjoys the outdoors, reading, and camping. She is married, with one grown son. She has 4 dogs, 16 chickens, and beehives on her hobby ranch.
Michelle Chavez, FNP
Family Nurse Practitioner
Michelle has been a nurse for 30 years. She got her FNP from Ball State University in 2013. She went on to do 3 years of primary care at some very rural sites in Cheyenne Wells, CO and Pinedale, WY. She has an extensive background in ER and ICU as an RN. She loves the emergent type patient care the most. She has taken some Spanish classes and enjoys using what little she knows.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys hiking and being outdoors which is what brought her here from the St. Louis area in 2010. She and her husband Mike recently married in 2014 and have 2 furry children (2 labs) who also like to go camping.
