Coronavirus Testing

Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine is currently providing drive-up Coronavirus testing!

To be referred for our COVID-19 testing you must first have an online visit with one of our providers and have your symptoms assessed.

Please Note: After you click the button above, you will be redirected to our scheduling page, titled Platte River Medical Clinic/Advanced Urgent Care. Platte River Medical Clinic is our primary care clinic, and we utilize the site for scheduling for both our urgent care and primary care clinics. Please continue to schedule your appointment on the page that opens. 

Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine is pleased to be able to offer drive-up, Coronavirus testing to our communities. Testing at our Brighton Location will be conducted 7 days a week, 10am-2pm. Testing at our Stapleton, Lafayette, Broomfield and Westminster Locations will be conducted Monday-Friday, 10am-2pm.

To be tested, please follow the steps below:

If you are experiencing fever, chills/rigors, headache, non-productive cough, or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19), please schedule an online visit by clicking HERE or you can call our online visit phone number at 303-558-0509.

One of our providers will assess your symptoms and determine whether you need COVID-19 testing. We accept most major insurance for these visits. If you are self-pay, we have reduced pricing.

If it is recommended that you get tested for COVID-19, you will be asked to visit our Brighton, Stapleton, LafayetteBroomfield and Westminster clinics where we have curbside testing. All four locations are drive-up sites.

** Please Note: We are not accepting doctor’s notes at this time. To be tested for Coronavirus (COVID-19) at our mobile clinic, you MUST be referred by one of our providers. Testing is subject to supplies availability each day.

Mobile Testing Process

Once you are referred for testing by one of our providers, you’ll visit one of our drive-up testing sites.Please have your ID with you. The test is a nasal swab that will be preformed while you stay in your vehicle. It can take 2-5 business days to receive your test results. Once we receive your results from the lab, we will call to schedule you for a same-day online visit with one our providers.

What Are The Next Steps?

So you’ve visited one of our drive-up testing sites, and have been tested for Coronavirus (COVID-19)… Now what?

Your test will be sent to a lab. We expect to receive your results within 2-5 business days. While you await your results, it is best to live under the assumption that you will test positive for COVID-19. This means you should practice self-isolating. Doing this while you wait for your results, will greatly reduce any further spreading of the disease if you do in fact test positive. 

A positive test requires that you maintain self-isolation. This means, the complete separation of yourself from others. If you have tested positive, you can schedule regular online virtual visits with our providers to discuss your symptoms, and treatment plans. To help us monitor your health, we recommend checking in with us virtually every 1-2 days until you are no longer experiencing symptoms. If you have any questions regarding treatment, your test results, or symptoms you can schedule additional online visits or call our follow-up care hotline at 303-558-0511. If we suspect the development of pneumonia or other severe symptoms, antibiotics or additional medical treatment might be required.

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 OR if you develop symptoms of COVID-19, including early or mild symptoms, you should be in isolation (stay away from others) until:

 

  • You have had no fever for at least 72 hours (that is three full days of no fever without the use of medicine that reduces fevers)
    AND
  • other symptoms have improved (for example, when your cough or shortness of breath have improved)
    AND
  • At least 7 days have passed since your symptoms first appeared

A negative test only says that the virus was not present or not present in a large enough amount to be detected.  When testing is negative, the possibility of a false negative result will be considered depending on the context of your recent exposures, the presence of clinical signs and symptoms consistent with COVID-19, and if tests for other causes of illness such as other respiratory illness are negative. If we still suspect COVID-19, or if your symptoms worsen, we will recommend a re-testing. Regardless of your test results, we are committed to providing you with follow-up care, to help treat your symptoms.
