Locally-owned and operated healthcare provider Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine acquired Colorado’s three Zip Clinics on April 1, 2022.
Zip Clinic is a Kentucky-based urgent care with locations not only in Kentucky, but also in Missouri. The Colorado locations are located in Aurora, Denver, and Westminster.
“As someone born and raised in Colorado, I have a firm commitment to Denver and the surrounding communities,” Dr. Tony Euser, Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine’s owner, said. “The addition of the three Zip Clinic locations just adds to our ability to serve the Denver area.”
The Zip Clinic Westminster location marks Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine’s third clinic in Westminster. In January 2020, Advanced Urgent Care moved into Metro Urgent Care’s former Westminster location on Wadsworth Pkwy. Later that same year in August, Advanced Urgent Care moved into the former Metro Urgent Care in Westminster on Federal Blvd. The Zip Clinic Westminster is located on Sheridan Blvd.
Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine’s History
Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine was founded out of the need for quality, after-hours care in the Brighton community. In 2006, Dr. Euser opened his own family practice, Platte River Medical Clinic. He quickly noticed that his patients did not have access to affordable, after-hours care.
“As access to medical care has changed I found there was a need to bridge the gap between what local primary care physicians can offer and the emergency room,” Dr. Euser said. “Our goal is to provide medical care with extended hours for non-life-threatening injuries.”
In 2012, Dr. Euser opened the first Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine clinic in Brighton. Two years later, a second clinic was opened in Northglenn and by 2015 a third was added in Fort Lupton. Starting in December 2019, Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine began moving into six former Metro Urgent Cares over the course of a year. Now with the acquisition of the Zip Clinics, there are 12 total Advanced Urgent Care clinics along Colorado’s Denver metro area.

Urgent cares serve as a bridge between primary care providers and patients receiving the same care after hours, typically weeknights and weekends. Urgent cares are also a more affordable option than the emergency room.
